Open Letter Fridays: To all those who spit on the roads

Dear all those who spit in public places,

Don’t. First, stop spitting on the road, from the bus, on the foot paths.

Your father didn’t build all these. Thousands of people walk on by. There are several others who don’t wear slippers and walk. How right is it for them walk on your spit? (This is for reference only: in the Indian culture, one’s saliva, or body fluids are not to be touched by another person, unless it is someone really close, like a spouse or a parent. It also includes two people not sharing plates and glasses and utensils and the like. Besides, even on the moon, stepping on spit is disgusting.)

On top of that, sometimes, there are many people who chew pan and spit. This is even more disgusting. We can’t tell these old ladies and gents to stop. They bring in their age factor and talk their heads off.

Even if a thousand lives have been granted, this cannot be stopped.

Love,

Pari

Books and mail make my day :) I'm slowly discovering art. But crafts help me lift my mood. Writing is important. Family is the best.
